A Thank-you Letter
Hi!
You may not remember me, it's been a few years! I was your student way back in 1994 or 1995, as a fifth grader. I remember that you were a storyteller and that you encouraged many elements of storytelling, writing and performing in the class. And I'm writing to thank you.
I really feel like my exposure to creative writing in your class helped lay the foundation for the rest of my life. I am now one semester away from an MFA in Creative Writing, a book editor, and an aspiring author...someone who just can't stay away from stories! When people ask me what got me started with writing, I always mention you. And I thought you should know what a great seed of inspiration you planted in me.
